See You Around, Jennifer

June 16, 2008

As I was perusing my favorite blogs over lunch, I read with disappointment that Jennifer Hoffman of Inspired Home Office will no longer be writing hers. I am sorry to see it go having only recently discovered her business and take on things (which I like a lot), but – as she herself points out – her business is still thriving and she will be showing up in all sorts of other ways.

But my disappointment quickly gave way to, “You go, girl!” because Jennifer’s decision was the result of some very wise re-evaluation of how she wanted to use her time in her life and her business. The changes she’s implementing might remain challenging for a time, but I’m sure she will succeed in developing the new relationship she wants with her business. She will succeed because she’s reflected honestly, her decisions are based on a specific vision and her closest values, and she’s enlisted help from others.

I read her final post thinking, That’s exactly what I’m talking about. That’s exactly what I want overwhelmed solopreneurs to achieve: the business and life they want through more careful attention to their time.

You go, girl.
