Lessons Learned-Day 3

January 12, 2009

This post is part of a series that began here. By sharing my “lessons learned” I hope to illustrate the power of this daily practice of gentle self-observation. Please follow along and share your own.

  1. Staying awake to my experience is hard to do when I am tired – yet another reason to pace myself.
  2. It’s been a long time since I’ve worked this hard – which might explain my not being where I’d like to be in my biz at this point.
  3. I need to add a short, specific checklist to my little self-made daily calendar sheets – new tiny but necessary tasks are getting forgotten.
  4. I need time at the end of the week for a wrap-up in which I collect all my little jottings from throughout the week and put them where they will get action – otherwise they are lost.
  5. Tolerations just slow you down (as in, fix the bug in the time-tracking program already).
