Are twinkies on your to-do list?
My favorite new metaphor (and you know how I love a good metaphor) for distinguishing between a yes and a no.
Choosing activities is like choosing healthy food.
Long list of ingredients, but less than three nutrients = no.
Short list of ingredients, but dozens of nutrients = yes.
In other words, if the activity in question is complicated to carry out and you don’t expect to get much in return, it’s probably not worth your time. It’s not going to nourish you and your business.
If the activity in question feels relatively simple and straightforward and you expect to get a lot in return, that one is a keeper. That’s the nutrient-dense stuff that’s yummy and satisfying and keeps you and your business healthy and vital.
Not saying you can’t indulge in a bit of comforting junk food from time to time. Just suggesting you choose the whole grain stuff more often than not.

You are right – this *is* a really good metaphor.
Perfect, even, because it narrows it down so clearly.
I would love to have more superfood tasks – one ingredient, huge return.
Is that too much to ask? (Riiiight…)
