Making Every Click Count
So my appointment with the physical therapist on Monday was really a cometojeezus kind of meeting.
Am I willing to do whatever it takes to heal my arm?
Am I willing to change my approach to this machine?
Am I willing to change how I work?
Well, yes, I said. ‘Cause the status quo sucks.
So I have to choose my clicks carefully these days. Not so much because I don’t have the time, but because I have to make every click, every keystroke, count. I don’t have extra to spare. All those little tendon and muscle cells in my arm need some rest.
So no random web surfing. No futzing over copy on posts and pages and newsletters. No getting lost for hours in click, click, click.
Now I will be deliberate. And now I will take a break to stretch every fifteen minutes (getting out my timer for that one). And I will stop at quitting time, not when I’m “finished.” Because I have to.
It will be interesting to see what and how I choose.
This may turn out to be the best time management/efficiency/productivity exercise ever.
If you were allowed a limited number of clicks and keystrokes each day, how would you make the most of what you were alotted?
